Winnie the Pooh Baby Blanket in Yellow

I finally worked on a project over my little mini vacation. I dug out my box of Winnie the Pooh fabrics and found this wonderful stash of minky & matching Pooh prints in yellow, pink & blue.

I started with the yellow, it's one of my favorite colors.

The blanket measures approximately 36" x 44" - great size for a receiving blanket, crib blanket, and is large enough for your little one to enjoy it as he/she grows into their toddler years.

You can find it available for sale in my Etsy shop by clicking here: Pooh Blanket

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

What's Hanging on My Design Wall.....

I have had this project hanging on my design wall for almost a year now. It is just simple 4 patch blocks using 2 Moda Marissa charm packs. It's not quite big enough for a baby quilt and way too small for anything else.

I am at a loss on what to do with it. None of my calicos jump out at me and say "hey we match those prints". Maybe I'll just finish it as is and some little girl somewhere can use it for herself and/or her doll.

It might just be big enough too for a small lap/wheelchair quilt now that I think of it. See, I knew blogging would get me to thinking of all the possibilities! :-)

My "Clean" Sewing Room

I finally made some progress in my tiny sewing room. Things are tucked away in boxes and plastic bins and all of my bolts are now in the hall linen closet rather than on plastic shelving in this room. It cleared a lot of space too.

I was able to now move my cabinet machine over to the window, without an inch to spare. That cleared almost an entire wall for me for something else. Maybe another 5 or 6' table for a quilting table w/ my portable machine. We shall see.

As you can tell, I still have my cutting table to clear off but I'm just so excited there is floor and wall space now! Let's see how long it takes for me to mess it all up again. LOL

One Row Lace Cowl (WIP)

I started a new knit project. It's a one row lace pattern for a scarf or shawl but I decided to make it a cowl instead.

It uses fingering weight yarn but with size 10 knitting needles for a nice lacy appearance. Unblocked it measures about 5" across with a cast on of only 24 stitches. I plan to twist the ends when finishing.

I'm really liking it so far and hope to have it done with the next few days.

Chocolate Knitted Handwarmers

I finished another set of handwarmers this weekend. I'm so excited that my knitting is speeding up and now that I can 'tink' (knit backwards) I'm more confident. If I make a mistake, I'm able to fix it and keep going.

This set of yummy chocolate handwarmers are made from Caron Simply Soft yarn; machine wash/dry for every day use.

They will be listed in my Etsy shop soon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

You can see more pics in my Etsy shop - it's for sale there. :-)

Pretty Papaya Handwarmers

I finished my newest handwarmers. I used a wonderful free pattern from CreativeYarn. I'm really happy with the results and for me they worked up very fast. I like fast projects since my crafting time is so limited.

The thing I might try different next time is to do them in the round, then I won't need to whip stitch them closed when I'm done.

I used Caron Simply Soft Brites and size 8 knitting needles. I personally, really love these yarns. They are soft yet acrylic and machine wash/dry. In my busy, hectic lifestyle, I don't have time to worry about dry cleaning everything.
