Criss Cross Pot Holders or Hot Pads

I'm still playing around with my scrap bins and dug out the insul-brite too.

I made one red cherry & polka dot pot holder and a pair of lime green & orange butterfly pot holders. Between the 6 layers of fabric & the layer of insul-brite, these should be just perfect for the kitchen or BBQ.

I think I'm keeping the cherry one since I don't have enough to make a pair but I'll be listing the butterfly set soon in my shop. I think they'd be great for a summer bbq or cooking poolside.

I almost forgot, these measure 5.5" square. They are on the small side but you don't always need big, bulky pot holders.

A few more coasters.....

I was able to make a few more coasters this afternoon.

One set is a shabby chic rose with dark green contrast.

Another is a very cute Rainbow Fish fabric with neon pink and neon orange.

The last is a classic, country sunflower print with orange contrast and a dark green flannel backing.

All are available for sale now in my online shop. :-) Mention this blog and get an extra 10% off (to be reimbursed through PayPal).

Black White Floral iPod Touch Case

Here is another iPod Touch or iPhone case. It is quilted and very useful!

I plan to make lots more and just can't decide which one I want to keep for me. :-)

I will be listing them for sale soon and custom orders are welcome!

My Oh Susannah Quilt Block

I've been posting free quilt block patterns on my Facebook fan page and today finally had the time to make one of them.

I made "Oh Susannah" which is a 12" finished block using 3 different colors and patterns. It worked up very quickly and was very easy to assemble as well. Even with all of my interruptions of little boys running in and out I was able to get it cut & finished within an hour tops. That sounds like a long time but let me tell you, I probably get interrupted every 5 minutes for something. :-)
