"Jasie" Crochet Baby Blanket
A member of a group I belong to gave me the link to this beautiful crocheted baby afghan courtesy of HappyYellowHouse.com.
This is on my "to-do" list as soon as I find the perfect yarn to use.

Abbreviations:
Ch - Chainsc - single crochetdc - double crochettrc - treble crochetFO - Finish offsk - skipsl st - slip stitchbeg - beginningsp - space
Materials:
24 oz Soft Pink, Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarn 1 oz White, Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarnSize J crochet hook
With Soft Pink, ch 125
Row 1: Sc in each ch across, ch 1, turn
Row 2: Sk first sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sk next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * across, ch 1, turn
Row 3-122: Repeat Row 2
Border:
Rnd 1: Working in ends of rows, work 122 sc along first side, work 124 sc along foundation chain, work 122 sc along second side, work 124 sc along Row 122, ch 4, turn
Rnd 2: Mesh Row: Sk first sc, dc in next sc, *ch 1, sk next sc, dc in next sc, repeat from * around, except in each corner work (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1). End round with ch 2 and do not sk a sc, join with sl st to third chain of beg ch 4, ch 1, turn
Rnd 3: Sc in each dc, ch 1 sp and ch 2 sp around, ch 3, turn (Note: some folk are having trouble with this round. This just means to sc in each stitch around)
Rnd 4: Sk first 3 sc, work shell (dc, 2 trc, ch 1, 2 trc, dc) in next sc, *sk 3 sc, work shell in next sc, repeat from * around to last sc. In last sc work, dc, 2 trc, ch 1, 2 trc, join with a sl st to beg ch 3, FO, weave in loose ends
Lacing:
With White, ch 525. Weave chain through mesh row, tie ends into a bow, clip tails
