Fabric Moving Sale on Etsy & eBay

Hi, everyone. After WAY to long, my hubby and I have finally found a house in our new locale.

This means great news for all you crafters! I am having a moving sale for all of my items in my Etsy and eBay stores.

I'll be lowering prices or just simply make me an offer. I'd love to unload most of my inventory before the move so I can restock afterwards.

Go take a peek in both stores.

Today's Quilt Project 7/17/2008

Here's a draft of today's project. It is a baby/toddler car seat rag quilt. I made it an extra row longer to accomodate toddlers as well as infants. Fall and winter weather will be here before you know it and this quilt is a great way to keep those little legs warm. It's also a great summer blanket for the a/c in the cars, stores, and even homes when visiting friends and family.

Here are photos of the back. I still have to clip the front and wash/dry the quilt before it's ready for sale.

I did use quilt shop quality fabrics from the Felicity Miller Astro collection. I'll be making the same quilts in blue, yellow, lavendar and teal.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day/night.

New eBay listings for baby quilts!

Well, with the help of my dear hubby, I've been a sewing fool and have gotten several quilts done this week. He's cutting more fabric and batting for me as we speak so tonight is a sewing night for me. YEAH!

If you have a little one or need a baby gift, check out my listings in my eBay store. I am offering free U.S. shipping on the BIN prices. I also accept custom orders.

Here's a peek at my latest crib quilt.

Do you like Pooh? Come check these out....

I have a few quilts finished and listed for sale just waiting for a special little baby to snuggle in.

Three of these are Classic Pooh prints and I have a few others in the works with pink, green, cream.

Custom orders are always welcome!

Oh, where to sell my handcrafted items?

Ok, I am most likely going to be talking to myself but thought I would post this question out there.

Where are you most successful selling your handcrafted items online?

I sell on several different sites currently - or should I say, I TRY to sell on several different sites. They all have fees but some are cheaper than others.

I am doing very well on eBay yet the fees are getting so high I wonder if it's even worth it.

I have sold a few things on Etsy and also got a few high priced custom orders from there but despite all the traffic, I don't get many sales. I have to admit that I've not been putting much effort into that store right now and I'm just torn on which way to focus my energy.

I also have another site I just started listing and there is not much competition right now so I'm happy so far with the traffic despite no sales.

I see lots and lots of former eBayers now selling on Etsy which is great but I guess it just makes it that much harder to sell with so many choices out there for buyers.

As a buyer, I love the option to choose but also find it overwhelming at times when I do a search for pink earrrings (for example) and I get 1,000 items to look through.

Ok, enough of my ramblings for today. Back to work. I sure hope SOMEONE out there finds me and can post their input.

iCraft.ca - Creativity without Borders

I opened yet another online store at icraft.ca. I just opened it a few days ago but I already have had quite a bit of traffic on the few items I have listed.

I like the fact that this site does not charge any commission fees. YES, NO commission fees. There is an initial registration fee but that is minor. Depending on how many items you list, there are fees involved with that as well but the first 5 items are free.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. Go check it out and browse around.

Craft-A-Holic

Hi, everyone. Wow, I can't believe it's been almost a month since I posted on there last. Especially since I like to post daily.

I have to admit I've been pretty busy juggling "real work" with all of my crafting hobbies and if I get on the computer I get sucked into cyberspace for long periods at a time. LOL

I have accomplished a few things. I managed to totally reorganize my crafting room which was a goal in itself since it managed to spread out down the hall and into the dining room...ooops. :D My dining room now looks deserted and lonely.

I've also finished 2 more baby car seat quilts and have another in the works today. Once they are clipped and washed I'll post pics of them to share; and yes they will be for sale. I've got a few crib size quilts about ready to get started as well.

And then with all the in the works, I am also working on 2 baby afghans; one crochet and one knitted. This will be my first knitted afghan, assuming I can get it finished.

Yes, yes, I am a crafting fool. If I'm not working with fabric, I'm working with yarns. The yarn crafting is easy carry along items; in the car, lunch breaks, park, McD's playground.

So there you have it; I am a craft-a-holic. Is there a support group somewhere for folks like us? Hmmm, that would be a guild, right?! LOL

Enjoy your day!
